Attorney at Law - Small Business Owner - Adjunct Professor-Presiding Judge Pro Tempore

I am the Managing attorney and owner of Prinz and Brozik PLLC in Pullman, WA. I manage an office of two associate attorneys, two legal assistants, and a bookkeeper.

The areas of law that I practice are the areas of law heard by the judge in Superior Court: criminal law, civil litigation, family law, will contests, guardianships, probates, real estate disputes, restraining orders, etc. I am an experienced, certified mediator who has mediated and resolved disputes in numerous civil law cases.

I am a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law and I have lived in Pullman for seventeen years. My husband is a professor at WSU and we have two children who attend Pullman High School. I have been practicing law since 2010. I am licensed to practice law in Washington and Idaho.

I was also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Idaho College of Law.

Sworn in by Judge Doug Robinson of Colfax Municipal Court, I currently serve as Presiding Judge Pro Tempore for Colfax Municipal Court.

More About Me

I grew up in Texas and went to play volleyball as a walk-on at the University of Southern California in my freshman year. I transferred to the University of Colorado at Boulder my junior year. After I graduated, I had a successful career in the film industry in which I was the Chief Lighting Technician (Gaffer) for films and television for thirteen years in Los Angeles, CA. In 2004, I moved to Albuquerque, NM, still working in films and television, where I met my husband, Jim, who was working as a professor at University of New Mexico. Jim and I married, and our twins were born in 2006. In January 2007, we moved to Pullman when Jim accepted a position as a professor at WSU. Jim had always wanted to come back to the Palouse as he received his doctorate at WSU, we loved the area, and we knew it was a great place to raise our family.

I stayed home with the twins until the twins were two years old, and then I attended University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow, ID. I graduated from law school when the twins were five years old. After I graduated law school, I worked as an associate attorney for Prinz Law in Pullman, Washington. When my mentor and employer, Beth Prinz, retired, I took over the practice and opened up my own firm, Prinz & Brozik PLLC in 2012. My law firm currently has three attorneys, two legal assistants, and a bookkeeper. Jim and I enjoy our professional careers and really enjoy living in the Palouse. Our family enjoys outdoor recreation and our favorite things to do together are hiking, camping, pickleball, and skiing/snowboarding.

- Have drafted estate planning documents including but not limited to wills and trusts for hundreds of clients
- Have hired and mentored approximately five associate attorneys and five interns over the years
- Have volunteered in the community for families with children with disabilities, for veterans, for schools, for nonprofit organizations, Pullman Regional Hospital, and have volunteered coaching soccer and volleyball teams for children in Pullman.

Why I want to Become a Judge

First year of law school I was asked why I wanted to become a lawyer. My professor then asked us to check it three years later to see if it was the same. I wrote that I wanted to help people. This has never changed to this day. I find that helping people through some of the most difficult times of their lives has been very rewarding.

Over many years, I have seen and experienced the paramount impact on people’s lives and/or their children and family that a Superior Court judge’s decision has. I know it is critical for the judge to carefully consider both sides and follow the law for justice to occur. I have helped people find resolutions to disputes as an attorney and a mediator. I am grateful to have a career where I can help people navigate through the justice system. I am grateful also to help people of all walks of life plan for their future whether it be by advising them through the court system or other legal matters or by drafting a will or a trust. As judge, I will continue my passion to help people in our community. I am also passionate about keeping our children, people in our community, and our neighborhoods safe.

I have a strong sense of justice and fairness. Everyone in our community deserves a fair, neutral judge who carefully considers both sides and follows the rule of law.
